Cave L’Abbatiale

Perpetuating the legacy of the winegrowing monks of Cluny

Gilles Musy & Arthur Pidoux

Oenologist and winemaker, Cave L’Abbatiale

Cave L’Abbatiale is owned by the town of Payerne. It owns two magnificent vineyards in Lavaux: Château Montagny and Tour Bertholod. The estate is managed by winemaker Arthur Pidoux and oenologist Gilles Musy.

From Chasselas to Pinot Noir, Viognier, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot, Cave l’Abbatiale plays the diversity and quality card. The recent gold medal awarded to their barrel-aged Merlot ranks it among the world’s top fifty. A treasure to be tasted, for example, on the splendid terrace of the Caveau de Montagny in Aran.
