Nicknamed the “Pope” of Chasselas, Jérôme Aké Béda is happy to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with wine lovers.
Originally from the Ivory Coast, Jérôme Aké Béda arrived in Switzerland in 1990. After graduating from hotel management school, he began working in a number of restaurants in Vevey. The future sommelier began to show a keen interest in wine, and more specifically Chasselas, with chef Denis Martin in Vevey. In 2015, he was named Sommelier of the Year by Gault-Millau Suisse.
