Freddie Tours

The picturesque city of Montreux in Switzerland is intimately linked with Freddie Mercury and Queen

Lucien Müller

Creator of Freddie Tours

These guided tours offers you an original way to discover the rich musical past of the city and the strong attachment that Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the band Queen, had with Montreux.

Freddie Mercury loved extravagance and excess of all kinds, but he also appreciated Montreux for its calm and… its famous Mountain Studios, owned by Queen between 1979 and 1993. Six of the band’s albums were recorded there under the guidance of sound engineer Dave Richards, the soul of the place. From historical facts to anecdotes, and from music to images, Freddie Tours invite fans and the curious to walk (literally) in the footsteps of Freddie Mercury and Queen.
